Lifting Spirits

A flower that grows crooked is still beautiful. A tree scarred by lightning shows character. A crack in the earth may become a lake filled with life. Imperfections do not make a thing unworthy and there is a great beauty found in hardship. We can’t always be dealt the best hand, but we must laugh when we are losing. We must love when we are down. We must sing straight through the storm. Only then will our weaknesses become our strengths. Only then will we know the truest form of peace.

Pull me under
How many atoms does it take
To keep me on the surface
Looking out for something I don’t know
Well this world
Is a stone

I swim for the lighthouse
Hoping for some light to shine on me
But no one left the light on
So here I am singing through the sea
Singing through the sea

Low and behold
I’ve been asking questions
With answers only I could ever know
Held below the surface
By something that I cannot let go
Well the truth
Is a stone

So I swim for the light house
Hoping for some light to shine on me
But no one left the light on
So here I am singing through the sea
Headed for the shipwreck
Never caring once for my fate
Surrender to the current
Singing Hallelujah all the way
Im on my way
